Green Travel
Rates for Travel Support
The funding rates are the same for student and staff mobility. They differ depending on the distance and eco-friendliness of the journey. The flat rates are set by the European Union and cannot be varied by the project coordinator. The distances are calculated exclusively using the ERASMUS distance calculator.

Notes on Green Travel
The Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg invites you to travel by low-emission means of transport and thus supports the ERASMUS Green Travel programme. In the centre of Europe, Würzburg is easily accessible by train, bus and night train.
Trips that are made using lower-emission means of transport (e.g. bus, train, carpooling) for more than 50% of the journey to and/or from the destination are considered to be lower-emission. If necessary, you can be granted up to six travel days for this purpose.
After the nomination, we will inform you about low-emission travel options to Würzburg.
