Indo-German Partnership
From 2016 until 2020 the Professorship for Adult and Continuing Education is project coordinator of the project ‘Adult and Lifelong Education: Indian and German Insights’ as part of the program Indo-German Partnership in the Higher Education Cooperation’ that is sponsored by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with funds from the Federal Ministry for Education and Research.
The cooperation of the Chair of Adult and Continuing Education focuses on the International Institute for Adult and Lifelong Education in New Delhi, the University of Delhi and the National Institute for Advanced Studies in Bangalore. Prof. Egetenmeyer is Visiting Professor for the International Institute for Adult and Lifelong Education.

The project Adult and Lifelong Education: Indian and German Insights intensifies the internationalization between the University of Würzburg and the University of Delhi in the study of Adult Education/Continuing Education.
The project focuses on a sustainable and research-oriented as well as a curriculum-integrated student mobility in the Master program of Education as well as the doctoral program relevant for Adult and Continuing Education with the following specialization:
- European policy on lifelong learning inside and outside of the European Union
- Offers and forms of continuing education and training at universities for educationally disadvantaged groups
- Academical professionalization as an interrelation between academic knowledge and practical experience
The annual activities comprise a Winter School at Würzburg in February, a Summer School at Delhi in September as well as exchange programs over several months for students of the universities of Würzburg and Delhi. Furthermore, the two universities also maintain an exchange of teachers.
