Differences and similarities in the production and design of school books in the different occupation zones, 1945-1949
Abstract
In this research project, the different preconditions of development, production and approval of school books in the different occupation zones after WWII are examined. Here, the focus lies particularly on the question, how similarities and differences especially in the textual design of school books can be explained by individual conditions of formation as well as the different socio-cultural and political preconditions, particularly since many school books of this time were reproductions of books from the time of the Weimar Republic.
