Advancement of Media Pedagogical Competencies of Preservice Teachers
This research field aims to develop concepts for higher education for the advancement of media pedagogical competencies of preservice teachers based on theory and to empirically evaluate these concepts. The focus is on the fulfillment of media-related educational tasks.
The research methodology follows the approach of a theory-based development and empirical evaluation of concepts for pedagogical actions (Tulodziecki, Grafe & Herzig 2013).
One research project is focussed on supporting preservice teachers to fulfil media-related educational tasks with special consideration of diversity.
Another project researches the support of preservice teachers to fulfil media-related educational tasks with special consideration of a critical analysis of the complex relationships between media, education and society.
