Direct admission
For direct admission to the programme you need:
- A Bachelor's degree (180 ECTS) or Equivalent Qualification
- Proof of competence in modules regarding the following educational and pedagogical areas (Minimum 40 ECTS Credits), with at least 5 ECTS credits in at least two of the following areas:
- Micro Level of Education and Pedagogy (e.g., teaching, learning, didactics, methodology, educational practice)
- Meso Level of Education and Pedagogy (e.g., programme planning, organisational development, management)
- Macro Level of Education and Pedagogy (e.g., educational policy, educational law, educational theories, theories on societal context)

English Language Proficiency: To ensure that all students can successfully participate in the programme, applicants must demonstrate English proficiency at a minimum of B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This can be verified through one of the following methods:
- TOEFL: Minimum score of 72 points (internet-based TOEFL test)
- IELTS: Overall band score of 6.0 or higher
- Cambridge: Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE)
- University Entrance Qualification: For applicants with a German university entrance qualification, an English grade of at least 7 out of 15 points is required. / Foreign University Entrance Qualification: Applicants with a foreign university entrance qualification must provide proof of equivalent English proficiency.
- Previous Degree in English: If a previous degree (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) was completed with English instruction at the levels mentioned above, this can also serve as proof of proficiency.
Deferred admission
In order to enable an uninterrupted transition from the Bachelor's to the Master's program, a deferred admission to the Master's program is possible under the following conditions:
- Proof of a total of at least 150 ECTS credits at the time of application in the first degree program. Full completion of the first degree must be demonstrated no later than the re-registration deadline for the third semester of study in the Master's program.
- Proof of competence in modules regarding the following educational and pedagogical areas (Minimum 40 ECTS Credits), with at least 5 ECTS credits in at least two of the following areas:
