Scholarship Bayhost for postgraduate studies in Bavaria
Graduates from Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine can apply for the scholarship “Bayhost” from the free state of Bavaria for financing their master studies.
The deadline for first time applications is in December each year. Please note that only online applications are accepted.

Scholarship of the DAAD for graduates
The DAAD offers several scholarships for graduate students in the subject “Language and cultural studies”. The scholarships differ in terms of the funding period, the amount of funding, the applicant criteria (e.g. country of origin, academic achievements, language skills), and the application deadlines.
Special attention should be paid to the scholarships for graduates from East Africa (Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Uganda) and West- and Central Africa (Benin, Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Mauritania). These are part of the scholarship programme "Leadership for Africa".

German public-private scholarship
Students of all nationalities and disciplines can apply for the "Deutschlandstipendium". The prerequisite is enrollment at a state or state-recognized university.
The online application usually takes place in June. Please inform yourself about the start of the application phase as well as the application conditions on the university's homepage (switch the website's language to English if needed).
