2019
In 2019 the Winter School ‘Comparative Studies on Adult and Lifelong Learning’ welcomed about 67 participants in Wuerzburg on 4–15 February 2019. This was the first year that the Winter School also welcomed adult education practitioners in addition to master's and doctoral students from European and other international universities. Furthermore, aspects of Paulo Freire's theory of international adult education and employability in adult education and lifelong learning became part of our programme. As you can see, the programme of 2019 could be expanded again. As in previous years, participants had the chance to interact directly with key European stakeholders in lifelong learning and with lifelong learning organisations from Wuerzburg and surroundings. During the group work sessions in the second week, the students and practitioners discussed questions of adult education that refer to the learning processes of adults and their integration into diverse (educational) contexts.
